Dear Colleague,

We have a great pleasure to invite you to the upcoming ACS National Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. The division of Analytical Chemistry (ANYL) is organizing a symposium on “Terahertz Technology for Problem Solving in the 21st Century,” with co-sponsorship from the division of Small Chemical Businesses (SCHB). An emphasis on advances in terahertz spectroscopy and applications in analytical techniques for Energy & Food analysis is the theme. However, relevant application of terahertz in pharmaceuticals, biomedical, conservation science, forensic science, security & screening, geology, & other areas are also of interest. This symposium also presents an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, including discussions of development of current and break through terahertz techniques and their applications. Contributions addressing subjects pertaining, but not limited to, the above mentioned areas are solicited. Papers, including spectroscopic techniques and other terahertz applications in solving important problems are also welcome.

Abstracts submission for oral presentations is now open and closes on November 7, 2012. Please login to: http://abstracts.acs.org/ and select the New Orleans meeting, ANYL Analytical Division. If you do not have an ACS login ID (you do not need to be a member of ACS) please go the above link and create your login ID and password, and login/logout to activate. Instructions for using PACS are available on the PACS Resources page at www.acs.org/pacs_resources.
